It’s been a third year when I travel to Sri Lanka. Taking just a few things, surfboard, something to read and my beloved Leica. After hard wedding season need just rest, go surfing every morning and afternoon and during the day just check waves forecast, read or sleep. This year it was exactly the same until Klára and Jirka arrived. Before their asian trip they got officially and in secret married at city hall with the wish to have real wedding somewhere at beach. I met Klára for the first time at line up when waiting for the waves. Their wedding idea was just private wedding without guests and almost a pictures. I offered them to capture this and eventually came all the people from our surfhouse as a guests.
This was not just my dream came true, but even theirs. And for me it was first time wedding shooting just with Leica, where you have to think differently with 28mm fixed lens, but it was just awesome. Ceremony was led by their friend, we all had a toast with coconuts and before the wedding party we went surfing. What else I could wish for…
